Loctite 542 is designed for locking and sealing metal pipes, fittings, and other cylindrical metal components. When sealed in an airtight environment, the product cures between closely fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. Loctite 542 exhibits thixotropic properties, which reduces the migration of liquid products after application to components.
