Clean threads to remove oil, dirt, and debris — use solvent or degreaser. -

Apply a 360° bead of LOCTITE 545 starting 1–2 threads from leading edge of male thread (for larger threads, apply on both male and female). -

Tighten the fitting per manufacturer’s torque recommendations. The adhesive flows and fills microscopic gaps as the parts are assembled. -
Curing / Handling
Allow sufficient time for the seal to form. Full cure depends on metal type, ambient temperature, and thread engagement. -
Disassembly (if needed)
Some assemblies can be disassembled with standard hand tools. If needed, localized heat may assist in breaking the bond.
