LOCTITE 382 is a one-component, high-viscosity instant adhesive gel developed for precision bonding in electronics and industrial applications. With its ultra-clear gel consistency, it is particularly suited to tasks such as wire tacking to coil-forms, mounting standoffs or edge guides to circuit boards, and securing small hardware where controlled flow is essential. It cures rapidly (20-40 seconds) upon confinement and humidity, forming strong adhesion on metals, rubbers and common plastics—and, when used with primer (e.g., LOCTITE® SF 770), on difficult-to-bond plastics like polyolefins.

Permohonan

1. Penyediaan Permukaan: Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly — remove grease, oil, dust and old adhesives. Use an appropriate cleaning agent.

2. Primer / Activator (if needed):

   • For low-surface-energy plastics (PP/PE) use LOCTITE® SF 770 or SF 7239 primer.

   • For faster cure on difficult surfaces or larger gaps you may apply suitable activator (e.g., for wire tacking kits) — per datasheet.

3. Permohonan: Apply a small amount of LOCTITE 382 to one surface (because of the gel viscosity, more precise dispensing may be needed for small parts).

4. Pemasangan: Join parts immediately after applying adhesive. Due to the short fixture time (~20-40 s), ensure alignment is correct on first placement.

5. Pembaikan / Penanganan: Allow assembly to remain undisturbed until initial fixture is achieved; full strength typically develops over 24 h.

6. Pembongkaran / Pembaikan: For bonded parts requiring removal, refer to the SDS/TDS for recommended methods; generally mechanical separation and/or heat may be required.
   Petua: Avoid over-application to prevent adhesive flash; use minimal quantity in tight assemblies. Ensure proper gap control (≤0.15 mm) for optimal performance.
